DÉCHETS.CA

Junk removal

Get rid of furniture and bulky items

An old couch, a worn-out appliance, a few mattresses or a pile of boxes: make one request and a participating business in your area can offer you its price.

Déchets.ca is a referral platform. Participating businesses perform the work and set their own prices.

You can tell us what needs to go in the next step.

How can we reach you?

Province: Québec, Canada

Your contact details stay private at this step.

The first step only asks for your contact details and area. The service and details come next.

What usually fits

  • Furniture: couches, tables, chairs, dressers, desks
  • Appliances (businesses may have their own requirements)
  • Mattresses and box springs
  • Boxes, miscellaneous items and small non-hazardous debris
  • Items inside, upstairs, in the basement or already outside

What needs a review

  • Paint, solvents, oils and chemicals
  • Propane tanks, fuel tanks, batteries
  • Materials that may contain asbestos
  • Anything you are unsure about: answer “I don’t know”; our team will review before any connection.

For a clear request

  1. 1Make a rough list of the items and how many there are.
  2. 2Mention the floor, and whether there is an elevator or narrow stairs.
  3. 3Add photos if you wish: they stay private until a business purchases the request.
  4. 4Say whether the items are already outside or need to be carried out.

How the referral works

  1. 1You save your contact details and area, then describe what needs to go.
  2. 2You verify a contact method and authorize sharing with one participating business.
  3. 3Our team reviews the request before any connection.
  4. 4If a participating business covers your area, it contacts you with its price. You decide.

What Déchets.ca is not

  • We do not do the pickup: a participating business does the work.
  • We do not set any price for the job: the business offers you its own price.
  • We guarantee no response time, date or quote.
  • Your complete request goes to one participating business only, and only after your authorization.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost?

Making a request is free. The pickup price is set by the participating business that contacts you; Déchets.ca does not set it.

Can someone come tomorrow?

We cannot guarantee it. Indicate your preferred timing; availability depends on participating businesses in your area.

Do I need to be there?

That is up to you and the business, depending on access to the items and how it works.

What if I have hazardous materials?

Mention it in your request. These materials are not part of an ordinary pickup and need a review by our team.
